Piracy proves successful for us! Crew members celebrated our first anniversary this February Half Term and we are pleased to announce that visitor numbers are up by 35% compared to the same week last year.
February half term 2016 saw us launch a brand new storyline, running tours every 30 minutes daily throughout the holiday week. Trip Advisor reviews illustrate that the ‘Republic of Pirates’ storyline has been going well with numerous 5* reviews and we have retained our position in the top ten of ‘Things to do in Newquay’.
Nikki Smith, Managing Director of Flamingo that owns the attraction says: “This February Half Term has exceeded all expectations of what our small attraction can achieve. All the team have worked incredibly hard with a new storyline to provide an excellent experience for each tour.
She continues: “We have had fantastic reviews from families on Trip Adviser and they are a testament to how hard all the crew have worked. We are now already taking bookings for Easter tours, educational trips and hen parties.”
Since the rebrand in 2015, we have substantially increased our visitor numbers. The aim is to provide a unique and individual tour that is tailored to each group. The benefit of using live actors to lead the hour long tours, limited to groups of up to 15, is that each experience is engaging and personalised.
For 2016, further new developments include a Pirate Academy (school workshop) for education groups and more special events such as scare nights for adults.
Pirate’s Quest opened officially in February 2015 after a focused re-development and rebrand of our offering. Last summer, the demand during peak times was so high that often all the tours for the day were sold out before opening. Due to limited capacity we recommend booking online, saving families 10% discount, and avoiding disappointment.
Suitable for all the family, as well as friends, couples and small groups, Pirate’s Quest is a must-visit attraction for Cornwall.
