Captain Calico Jack and his crew are preparing for ‘Curses and Crossbones’, taking place at Pirate’s Quest in Newquay, during October Half Term (19th October – 1st November).
The Newquay based pirate experience has been struck by a curse from a sea witch who has transformed the caves and coves of Pirate’s Quest into an otherworldly scene. The resident privateers are asking for local landlubbers to join the quest in defeating the tempest.
Visitors will set sail on the creepy voyage with a live pirate guide who’ll transport them back 300 years to the Golden Age of Piracy.
On the journey new recruits will board the doomed Royal Anne – a real Pirate Hunter’s vessel that wrecked off the coast of Cornwall in 1721, navigate their way through the mystical caves and murky streets of Eighteenth Century Cornwall and venture into Blackbeard’s Tavern; a scene originally introduced to Pirate’s Quest to mark the 300th Anniversary of the famous Captain’s death in 2018.
For an extra Halloween spook brave The Locker of Davy Jones, the optional scare section of Pirate’s Quest. This graveyard of lost ships and souls, perfect for Halloween thrill-seekers however be sure to stay close to your group to avoid succumbing to the perils of the sea.
The Pirate’s Quest Experience also includes a detour through the Cornish Land of Legend, a mythical realm filled with greedy goblins and gruesome giants.
New recruits will be tasked with a treasure map, leading them through the Pirate’s Quest experience and will need to look high and low for clues, revealing the spooky codeword. Return to the treasure shoppe at the end of your adventure to claim some pirate treasure.
