Paraskevidekatriaphobia is the name given to the fear of Friday 13th, a superstition dating back hundreds of years. The ‘unlucky’ date was feared by 18th Century Pirates too. Superstitious swashbucklers refused to set sail on Fridays in fear of bringing bad luck to their voyage… but all that’s about to change.
Friday 13th of May will see the crew of Pirate’s Quest, Newquay set sail for an exclusive One-Night-Only scare experience ready to face the terrifying consequences. The most unsettling souls from Davy Jones’ Locker will be boarding and only the bravest buccaneers need apply for Cornwall’s most terrifying scare event.
Horror fans are in for a treat as the caves and coves inside Pirate’s Quest will be transformed into shadowy catacombs filled with undead rogues of the sea, creating Newquay’s only fully immersive, walk-through SCARE experience.
Visitors will summon their courage as they navigate their way through the dark and dank scenes, and come face to face with disturbed and deranged characters who aren’t afraid to get up close and personal.
Using a cast of skilled scare-actors, detailed 360 degree sets, and horrifying special effects, the after-hours scare experience at Pirate’s Quest is guaranteed to get you screaming!
