Dive into Cornwall’s fascinating myths and legends this May Bank Holiday, 2-4 May, at Pirate’s Quest. Cornwall’s newest attraction is not to be missed!
Come face-to-face with Bolster the Giant, whose Bolster Festival in St Agnes will be in full swing, and learn the bloody tale of his demise. Meet Merlin and King Arthur and discover the Cornish piskies playing tricks. Cornwall is packed to the rafters with legends, and as you set sail in an hour-long guided tour you will experience 360 degree scenes taking you back over 300 years to the Golden Age of Piracy.
The interactive tour is led by your own Pirate guide, beginning in the wreck of the Royal Anne Galley. Escape the ship, which wrecked off Lizard point in November 1721, before it is swarmed by pirate hunters looking for booty.
Groups of up to 10 will descend into the magical Land of Legend, treading cautiously through Ne’er Do Well’s Passage, and swaggering into Captain Morgan’s Tavern for some Dutch courage, before braving the depths of the thrilling Lost Land of Lyonesse.
For those of you who are looking for an extra thrill, Pirate’s Quest also contains a scare section – The Lost Land of Lyonesse – an experience filled with screams and laughter!
Junior pirates and legend hunters can pick up a Treasure Map to help them find hidden clues and claim pirate booty!
PIRATE’S QUEST is a unique, fun, family experience in the heart of Newquay which combines talented theatrical actors, amazing special effects and detailed 360⁰ sets in an authentic, fully immersive, walk-through experience.

The live actors were witty and charming, the facts about Cornish legends and pirates were interesting and well researched and the sets and costumes were very professionally done. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more and I know my family all felt the same.”
