Crew Wanted!

Do you have a thirst for adventure, have you got what it takes to guide landlubbers through a world of brigands and buccaneers and, most importantly, can you talk like a pirate?  If the answer to all these questions is ‘arrr!’ then Cornwall’s newest attraction Pirate’s Quest would like to meet you.

The Newquay attraction is holding an X-Factor-style audition on Saturday, January 31st to recruit new members to join their pirate crew.

All applicants will be sent a short script prior to the audition to showcase their piratical skills and they’ll also need to be ready to answer some questions in character from their potential new Captain, Calico Jack.  If successful, applicants will join a Pirate Academy to hone their skills before graduating and earning themselves an official authentic pirate name.

Opening for previews on February 14th, Pirate’s Quest is a unique, fun, family experience in the heart of Newquay which combines talented theatrical actors, amazing special effects and detailed 360⁰ sets in an authentic, fully immersive, walk-through experience.

Journey back in time, 300 years, to the Golden Age of Piracy. The infamous Captain Calico Jack, with the help of other legendary rogues, will act as a guide through the mystical caves and murky streets of 18th century Cornwall.

Discover The Wreck of the Royal Anne Galley, explore the magical Land of Legend, tread cautiously through Ne’er Do Well’s Passage, and swagger into Captain Morgan’s Tavern for some Dutch courage, before braving the depths of the thrilling Lost Land of Lyonesse.

Rub shoulders with the majestic heroes of Arthurian legend, creep past Jack O’Lantern: King of the Piskies, meet the mysterious White Witch of Helston, and marvel at the magical Mermaid of Zennor.

The hour-long adventure will allow pirate fans and their crew mates the chance to feel, hear, smell, and see Cornwall’s intriguing legends and exciting history… brought thrillingly to life!
