5 Years of Privateering Excellence

Here at Pirate’s Quest the crew are celebrating being awarded their Hall of Fame certificate in honour of 5 years of Trip Advisor excellence, just in time for the August bank holiday weekend!

The Newquay pirate attraction began welcoming new recruits on to the ship deck 5 years ago when it opened the cabin doors as Pirate’s Quest for the first time.

Since then it has seen countless new privateers and buccaneers through its caves and lifelike 360 degrees scenes on piratical adventures. Taking visitors on a voyage through 17th century England and the Golden Age of Piracy. The experience also includes a detour into the Land of Legends, full of long forgotten Cornish myths and a journey to Town Blystra Docks where visitors have the chance to try out the local stocks.

Those brave enough have dared to go through Davey Jones’ Locker before ending up at the penultimate part of their trip, the ship deck where they’ll meet their pirate captain.

Captain Calico Jack has said on being awarded the Trip Advisor Hall of Fame certificate, “I’m a very proud Captain this summer indeed. My crew have worked tirelessly over the past 5 years to entertain incoming visitors to port and we’re very happy that they’re ‘hooked’ on Pirate’s Quest.”

“I’ll be sure to celebrate once the summer season is over with a tipple of every pirate’s drink of choice, a glass of rum!” he added.

The Summer of Scoundrels and Scallywags event at Pirate’s Quest has been a great success so far this season with record-breaking visitor numbers and rave reviews from new recruits.

Pirate’s Quest is open daily throughout the August bank holiday weekend and summer and it is advised to book online in advance to secure your tour due to popularity.

Don’t forget to follow the crew’s adventures on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram or sign up to their monthly enews because a message in a bottle won’t quite reach Pirate’s Quest fans inland!
